Coenred is called for an audience with King Harold of England. This will be the start of a relationship between the two men that promises much. For his part, Coenred is happy to inform King Harold of what happened at Fulford Gate and how things now stand. Harold is perceptive enough to know a seasoned warrior when he sees one and he places great value on such men. There is much for them to talk about before the morning dawns and the Saxons go to war against their ancient enemy, the Vikings!
