I feel prompted to write again on this subject following the claim that that there is another variant on the loose, given the name Omicrom, following the apparently silent disappearance of Delta.
The mainstream narrative is that Covid-19 is an international threat to life. This was stated as early back as February 2020 when the pandemic first started. It led to many countries imposing lockdowns on their populations, the introduction of ‘social distancing’, the mandatory wearing of masks, and the race to develop a vaccine.
As of today’s date the statistics for Covid-19 are as follow:

The statistics indicate that the survival rate for Covid-19 is 98%! That is, of 238,235,516 cases only 5,245,478 people have died. While each and every death is a tragedy to the people concerned, in terms of the world that is not significant. The table below illustrates the impact of Covid-19 against the world’s population:

That is, of the 79,106,435,860 (79 billion) people in the world at this moment only 0.01% have died due to Covid-19 since it appeared in 2020. More people, some 7,548,492, have died of cancer in 2021 alone. The combined deaths due to smoking and alcohol for this year is 6,892,466, which is also more than that recorded for Covid-19.
Also, in comparison, 18.6 million people were recorded as dying of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in 2019 (the latest year for which worldwide statistics are available), which is a +14% mortality rate, Covid-19’s is 2%, and the number of CVD deaths is steadily rising.
Covid-19 is not classified by either the World Health Organisation nor the British Government as a High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID).
The vaccines currently available do not stop an inoculated person from either contracting or transmitting the virus. The use of additional secondary jabs and ‘booster shots’ does not change this fact. The supposed Omicrom variant was first identified in South Africa and is now present in Britain. Travel restrictions have been in place for some time, meaning that only those people who hold vaccine certificates for Covid-19 were allowed to travel, but it made no difference in stopping the spread of the virus. Despite the fact that the governmental the vaccines do not stop contraction or transmission of the virus they are spending huge amounts of money to promote vaccination, even paying doctors a bonus for each dose they administer. In some countries vaccination has been made mandatory. I could understand this if Covid-19 was a HCID with a mortality rate in double figures, and if the vaccines actually worked, but it is not and they do not.
I find it curious that so much in terms of international resources have been spent on supposedly protecting the world’s population from a disease that has had, in medical terms, such a small impact upon it. If this was really about protecting peoples’ health then surely the same amount of resources would be assigned to saving us from CVD, cancer, smoking, and alcohol?
