I received a message from my computer telling me that Microsoft are rolling out Windows 11 and that I could download a free version! No thanks, was my initial response.

Not so long ago I had a rather snazzy laptop that worked very well with Windows 8 and then Microsoft told me that I could upgrade to Windows 10 for free, and like a fool I went and did it. The diagnostics had told me that the laptop was suitable, only it was not; it literally ground to a halt trying to run Windows 10. I also left it too late to revert back to Windows 8.

I am not falling for that again.

My PC runs very well on Windows 10 and does everything that I want it to do so I am sticking with it. Past experience has also taught me that every Microsoft step forward is not necessarily progressive so I am going to give this one a miss; if it don’t need fixing why bother?!
