Moving Forward

I have not been doing much writing of late, instead I have been working on rebuilding my website. I actually had two websites on the go but I decided to let the older one bite the dust and concentrate on this WordPress hosted site instead. I have to admit that I am not a particular fan of WordPress in regards to building websites, I used a much more rewarding program called Serif WebPlus X6, but the company decided to stop supporting it. With Serif WebPlus I was able to design and build my own creation, with WordPress it is more like mutating someone else’s work into a semblance of what you want. I suppose I could learn how to do it better, but web-designing is not a major interest for me, least of all if I have to start learning how the HTML code works again.

Compromise is not always a comfortable situation when you feel even a little bit creative, in fact it always seems a little less than genuine to me. However, the website is not my main concern, just a necessary distraction. By the end of the month I hope to be back to doing some serious writing and getting some more rewarding projects up and running.
