What Kind of World do You Want to Live in?
There was a time when people used to claim that they wanted a better world for their children to grow up in, I remember it well, which makes me wonder why no one else seems to these days? Let's be honest, this today is not the best of all possible worlds
A hiatus can be good for you and so can a change in direction
So far writing has been little more than a hobby, a very rewarding one intellectually speaking, but a little lean on the royalties if I am honest. Becoming a best-selling author is still a goal to be achieved and I am not giving up on it, I am, however, looking at alternative forms of writing other than penning novels. Now that my mind is made up on the issue, I am going to start looking at the kind of opportunities that exist out there, and which are largely unknown to me
A Little More Time Away
Life just has a way of intruding into your routines. My expectations for the past 6 or more weeks have certainly not been on track
Why are we normalising poverty?
As long as charities exist so will all of the problems that they supposedly address, including poverty, which has now become normal and socially acceptable
Enabled, not Disabled
The word disabled raises nothing but negative connotations. It defines a person as physically and/ or mentally impaired, injured, or incapacitated
A Tale of Two Venues
I am glad that BST is bigger than the Cavern Club as it is likely to have a much greater influence on social attitudes
Local Elections and Local Politics
The fact is that the majority of people do not think that voting in a local election is worthwhile
Authors…I do not care
I have many interests across many subjects but there is not one where I divorce the idea from the person who created it.

It is worth remembering that other people have been in a similar place and either have not or are not so lucky
