The benefits won by one minority group do not easily transfer to other minorities. Whatever successes Black Lives Matter achieved disabled people have not experienced an improvement in how they are treated, perceived, or even represented
apathy
Local Elections and Local Politics
The fact is that the majority of people do not think that voting in a local election is worthwhile
Football, so good at seeming to do something when it does nothing
Remaining silent on issues of social injustice does not combat them, it is simply an expression of apathy. It is the same as doing nothing.
Provoking a Reaction or Not
Ever write something that you thought would provoke a response but it did not? Ever write something that was intended to be throw-away and it got the more attention than anything else you had published? I am sure that I am not alone in being able to answer yes to both questions.
